June 2015 ~ Wells Family Reunion ~ South Haven, Michigan ~ Part 1

Hi guys! It's been a while :)

This June, my brother, his family, and I had the privilege to return to the family reunion on our Dad's side, and it was such a great time! I thought I would share a couple posts of pictures :)

First up - a flight to Chicago. I love flying, and so did Isaiah, apparently (it was his first time!) he LOVED takeoff and landing :)

After landing in Chicago and driving two hours into Michigan, we arrived!

And basically, it was an awesome week.

We spend the week enjoying time together - we play a LOT of board games!

Isaiah had the time of his life. He loved the lake and playing with the cousins! Such a sweet boy :)

It was super foggy on the second day (and most of the week!).

These Dogwood blossoms were gorgeous!

One Year...

Somebody TURNED ONE TODAY!

We celebrated two days early, on this past Sunday.

Gluten-free chocolate cake with strawberry icing. Auntie Catherine made the cake, Auntie Hannah frosted it! He has pretty cool aunts, if you ask me. :)

 

Isaiah enjoyed special time with Grandma & Nana :)

Trying out one of his birthday presents, complete with car sounds!

Adorable confusion when we sang to him...

... and now it's time to eat (and wear) the birthday cake!

Sweet little man, I can't believe you're one! It's been such a joy to watch you grow up! Keep growing, but take your time - stay little while you can, Little Man. I love you sooooo much!

The Matthew Bridges Family ~ Portrait Session

You know what's awesome about having your brother, sister-in-law, and nephew living an hour away? 

Wonderful things can happen:

"...we would really love to get some pics of Isaiah in the bluebonnets sometime soon!"

"Ooh!! Yes that needs to happen :) Let's plan that!"

... and look what happened ...

His little plaid shirt coordinated perfectly with the flowers!

"Oh, hey, while we're here, can you take some of Matthew & I?"

Um, yes. We can handle that. :)

These two are just precious.

The bluebonnets were just divine - there were so many of them!

"Wheeeeeee!"

It had just rained, and the water droplets were so amazing!

Once Upon a Spot/Paloma ~ Charity Horse Show

This is a sweet little pony that I met a couple of weeks ago... two weeks before this show, she'd been bought from a western pleasure trainer, and turned into a jumper! She took everything in stride and did an amazing job for her first time in the jumper ring, clearing a 2-foot course fabulously!

And I might mention that Allie and I can brag that we were her PERSONAL grooms... we spent 40 minutes bathing her the night before to get her nice and white! :)

I ❤ Coffee

It's the best remedy for a rainy day like today! My favorite way to drink coffee is Texas Pecan, french pressed, with half-and-half and a bit of sugar. So yummy! 

Our friends Melvin & Nathalie sent us this mug all the way from California! I love the polka dots :)

Isaiah Hudson ~ 10 Months

My little nephew-man just keeps on growing!

He's wonderfully photogenic. :)

He's mastered walking, and enjoys exploring! 

This little boy has the most beautiful eyelashes you've ever seen...

... and I love him very much.
