June 2015 ~ Wells Family Reunion ~ South Haven, Michigan ~ Part 3

Hello again :)

So we had two birthdays during the week, my cousin Justin, and Leah! So we had to take some pictures. There was an unspoken contest of "how many can we fit on the couch at once" :)

My Grandpa Bill...

Grandma Sharon with Isaiah :)

After dinner and cake it was beach time! I found some seemingly abandoned beach chairs.

Abby...

Megan...

Building dams in the creek...

And drawing pictures in the sand. :)

I found clover! We don't have clover in Texas and I was so excited I took a picture. Everyone was so confused... "Why are you taking a picture of grass?" :)

The next day we went trail riding!
Two groups this time, girls in one and boys in the other. Girls went first :)

My noble steed, Pete. He's half Clydesdale and half Tennessee Walker... and 100% awesome.

While the boys took their turn riding, we posed with these two horses.
They just walked up and posed with us! So cute :)

Rachel (above!) took this photo of me with the ponies. I think she did a fantastic job! :)

Our last night at the beach...

Megan and me :)

... and all eleven of us cousins!

All in all, it was a fabulous week!

Hope you enjoyed these posts, and see you next time!

June 2015 ~ Wells Family Reunion ~ South Haven, Michigan ~ Part 2

Hello again! Welcome back for Part 2!

So the resort we stayed in is less than two miles from Downtown South Haven... so of course we had to go shopping & exploring :)

These two kitties greeted us at one storefront...

So many pretty things to see!

Leah, Isaiah, and Rachel...

(Apparently) famous Sherman's Ice Cream. I mixed Cappuccino and "Sherman Tracks", which was vanilla ice cream with caramel and chocolate pieces. Yummy yummy.

Isaiah enjoyed walking back and forth under this sandwich sign :) So cute.

After we got back from shopping, I took Isaiah down to the beach. Leah took this picture of us :)

After a short interlude for dinner, we returned to the beach :)

There's a creek that runs behind the condos and into the lake. It probably has a name, but we cousins affectionately named it Kildenree Creek after the setting of this book when we discovered it in 2005.
We've been building dams and searching for frogs and tadpoles there ever since.

Rachel & I attempted to get a silhouette shot, which turned into a super cute portrait instead :)

Abby found a log as tall as her!

And my favorite shot of the week: a sunset silhouette of my cousin Andrew.

It's not summer without Sparklers!

Heeeere comes the brownie airplane! :)

More board games...

We returned to downtown later in the week so I could buy a t-shirt that I had wanted to purchase.

It was going to be a "quick trip." they said. "We'll be back soon," they said.

3 hours, at least 5 shops, and one lighthouse visit later... we returned. We'll never live that one down.

Well hello again, kitty.

Megan took my new favorite portrait of me :)

This lighthouse is officially titled the "South Pier Light." It was built in 1872.

Come back next week for Part 3! I won't leave you hanging :)
